The
Best Free Resources on the Internet
One
of the absolutely BEST things about the internet is that you can find
jusat about anything you need for FREE, or very low cost somewhere.
Sometimes the product has advertising; trial period or limited usage
BUT if you look hard enough you can find soime real gems.
What, you don't know what you need? don't have the time? can't be
bothered?
Never mind here are some of the best I've found - those with the hearts
are my absolute favourites.
There's no catch - they really are free although some do have limited
usage. I've tried to note that but as I've been using most for so long
now I may have bought the "upgrade" because the product is so good.

Every
wanted to change the colour of your text on a website to match
the
header? How about filling in an image background? You need to know the
hex or RGB number and this great little piece of software will do the
work for you. Just open the program, mouse over the colour you need,
wherever it appears - on your desk top, inside a document on a website
- and the codes appear. Ctrl C and you've copied the information to use
wherever you need. Really cool and TOTALLY free. |

RoboForm |
I
couldn't live without this. I upgraded to the paid version because it
is that good! Ever forgotten a user name or password or just a web
address? No more. This is an ESSENTIAL whether you do business online
or not |

Need
some images for your site? Don't want to pay high royalty or licence
fees? You can download many of the images at this site and use them on
your sites for free. Be careful to read the agreement for each image
though as some have restrictions and you cannot resell them |

Nvu |
Just
getting to grips with creating websites and not ready to spend money on
FrontPage or Dreamweaver? Then Nvu is for you. Very easy to use "What
You See Is What You Get" html program. I find it does sometimes hang if
you try to open too many pages. |

Smart |
Created
your first web page? Now you need to upload it to your server / hosting
company. You need a ftp program. I've used Smart for about 3 years and
found it faultless. If you're not sure what to do you'll find video
tutorials at the Smart website. |
